What to do if the cylinder handle is not going completely down after I insert the cylinder? (only with Quick Connect Cylinder mechanism)

If the handle in the back is not going completely down, do not attempt to enforce it down. First, check to make sure you are using the correct CO2 cylinder. The correct CO2 cylinder which is compatible with the Sodastream Sparkling Water Maker is the SodaStream CO2 Quick Connect cylinder with the Pink seal and cap.

• The SodaStream Screw-in system Cylinder with the Blue seal will NOT work in that case.

To properly insert the cylinder, follow the next steps:

1. Raise the cylinder handle all the way up.
2. Remove the plastic seal from the cylinder and pull off the cap.
3. Open the cylinder compartment.
4. Slide the CO2 cylinder into the compartment.
5. Close the cylinder compartment and lower the cylinder handle all the way down for a quick connect.To properly insert the cylinder, follow the next steps:
6. Raise the cylinder handle.
7. Remove the seal and cap from the cylinder.
8. Position the bottom of the cylinder in the Sparkling Water Maker.
9. Gently place the rest of the cylinder into the cylinder holder.
10. Lower the cylinder handle to lock it.
11. Replace the back cover so it clicks into place.
